DR. DAVID ELDRED


Dr. David Eldred joined the practice in June of 1997 after graduating from the Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. In addition to seeing patients at Eldred Eye Center, Dr. David Eldred is an Externship Site Clinical Director and adjunct Assistant Professor for Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. He also serves as Assistant Professor for Illinois State University College of Optometry, as well as the Ohio State University College of Optometry.

Dr. Eldred was a staff optometrist for the Cheyenne Veterans Administration Hospital for ten years. He also worked with Rocky Mountain Eye Bank to retrieve donor corneas for transplantation and research.

Dr. David Eldred is past President of the Wyoming Optometric Association , the Cheyenne Laramie County Joint Powers Development, Leadership Unlimited of Cheyenne and the Cheyenne Quarterback Club.

Dr. David Eldred enjoys the outdoors while riding snow machines and dirt bikes with his family at their cabin and is currently President of The Cheyenne Soccer Association.


DR. KEITH ELDRED


Dr. Keith Eldred was raised in Red Wing, Minnesota. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Minnesota and at Rochester State College. After Graduate School at Southern College of Optometry and one year of teaching, he moved to Cheyenne from Memphis in June of 1973. After two years as an associate with Cheyenne Eye Clinic, he opened his own clinic at 1122 Logan Avenue. From 1975 to June 1986 he practiced as Cheyenne Optometric Center, P.C. In 1986, the current clinic was opened on Dell Range Boulevard.

Presently, Dr. Keith Eldred is the State of Wyoming Representative for Vision Service Plan, and a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a past president of the Wyoming Optometric Association, and past president of the local Kiwanis Foundation. For ten years, he served on the Wyoming State Board of Examiners in Optometry, and also chaired several national committees for the American Optometric Association. Dr. Keith Eldred was also named O.D. of the year in 1986. In addition, he is very active in his church and was very involved in Soccer in Cheyenne for twenty years.


ROBERT BURNS


CPOT, ABOC, NCLEC

Robert Burns was born in Aurora, Colorado and was raised in Denton, Texas. Robert became a member of our practice in February of 2010 and has since been President of the Wyoming Para Optometric Association. He holds several certification’s including, American Board Of Opticians, ( ABOC), National Contact Lens Examiners Certified (NCLEC), Certified ParaOptometric Technician (CPOT). In 2016, Robert was honored as paraoptometric of the year.

Robert’s hobbies include riding motorcycles, enjoying the outdoors and geocaching. The most challenging part of his day is maintaining the office technology and ensuring precise quality of lenses and frames dispensed to our patients.


KAREN KOCH

Billing Administrator
Karen Koch was born and raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin and moved to Casper Wyoming where she worked in materials management at Wyoming Medical Center. She moved to Cheyenne in 1992 and went to Cheyenne Aero tech where she got her associates in applied science. She began her journey into the medical career field at LCCC studying medical billing and coding. Karen then interviewed with the head of HITM department at LCCC where she was offered a job at Eldred Eye Center as our medical biller and coder.

Karen has been with us going on four years now. She says the most rewarding aspect of her job is helping people through the insurance process. Medical billing and coding has changed a lot over the past few years and these changes keep her job fresh and better at what she does for the clinic. She challenges herself with daily goals, she also helps patients with glasses adjustments, in-addition to assisting staff when we get busy. Karen likes helping our patients by answering their questions with insurance. Karen’s free time is spent with family camping, riding their motorcycle and painting.


​ELIZABETH


Elizabeth joined Eldred Eye Center in 2018. Elizabeth is a Wyoming native, East High graduate. Elizabeth has five girls. When she is not in our office, Elizabeth is traveling with her children to soccer games. Elizabeth has been volunteering for the Cheyenne Soccer Club for many years. Elizabeth has a passion for people, she loves to help others.
